 David. A. Bateman has practiced law since 1970, and has extensive experience in real estate and land use, particularly in the ownership, leasing, and development of aquatic and shoreline property, rights of way, and mineral rights. David handles complex litigation involving hazardous substances, as well as personal injury and wrongful death cases. He also represents a growing number of corporate and business clients and is licensed as a Real Estate Broker. David has a degree in Geology from the University of California at Riverside. He received his law degree from the University of San Diego, and earned an advanced degree with emphasis in international law from Georgetown University. David was the Assistant Attorney general for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources, the Chief Litigation Deputy Prosecuting Attorney for Pierce County and retired from the U.S.Air Force Reserve with the rank of Colonel. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Washington State Trial Lawyer's Association. David is admitted to practice in the states of Washington and California, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Federal Courts.
